Good golly molly that car is fantastic. It’s the most special car I’ve ever driven. Ask me anything about the drive! It made me a believer in the church of Alfa.

Is it or isn't it Toyota Celica?

How ling do you think until depreciation makes it so that I can buy it for less than my MR2?

How loud is it? I remember reading that it really doesn’t have mufflers on it. How is the transmission and would it be better with a manual?

Would it be better with an actual manual?

Does it do sick jumps?

It’s pretty loud. It sounds great at full throttle but when you’re inching along in traffic; it drones pretty badly. The sound reverberates over all the carbon and fiberglass like a drum.
Transmission is a tad slow to shift and lurchy at low speeds. That said, it’s geared so low that there’s no way I could shift fast enough to keep up with the car. It needs paddles. Just better paddles.

Bad news for you and me both because I think the 4C will appreciate as a collector car

I don’t think so. It would be better with a more refined paddle shift box. The car is so fast and the gears are so closely spaced that manually shifting would probably get in the way of driving it quickly.

Interesting that the transmission shifts slow for a car that’s DCT only, any idea if it could be sped up by a software update. I would take the downside of harsher shifts at lower speeds for having faster shifts when I need it.

How are the downshifts; I hear they are pretty slow? Also, have you ever driven a 981 Cayman/ Boxster? If so, how does it compare?
I’m on the waiting list for a test drive; hopefully I actually get the chance :-/

How did the steering feel. It’s not powered, correct?

How did you find the seats, driving position, ride (harsh?) overall size of the cabin? Did you have trouble fitting in (and how tall are you)? Is it roughly as hard to get into and out of as an Elise or Evora? How was visibility? Is it “holy cow that’s fast” or “quick but could use more power” when you’re hustling it on the backroads? Did you manage any tire squeal on the corners?

What do you normally drive? I’ve been in one, but not driven one yet. I also assume you where in a launch edition which are a little louder then the rest of the cars will be.

The downshifts were fine. Not lightning quick like the 650S I drove a while ago but not annoying either. Just okay. And sorry but I've mever driven a boxster or Cayman so I can't compare them.

The seats are amazing if you’re a slim dude. If you’re a big guy, you’ll loathe them. They were firm and very supportive. Very very sporty seats.
The cabin is a great size. I’m 5’9” and fit with tons of headroom. There is a notable lack of cubby space in there though
Getting in and out is a real workout and stretch routine. About as bad as an Elise with the added difficulty of trying not to scuff the bare carbon sills. Tell your date to avoid short skirts unless she’s and exhibitionist.

Steering feel is excellent and its manual so it's quite heavy. Parking is an absolute bear.
